Please note that EU backers who have already received your tracking number may experience a delay in the updated tracking info. The tracking info for EU backers will only be available/active once your parcel arrives in your country. We will use DHL Germany for the last mile delivery. (EU)

Reflection 

We understand that many of you are frustrated at the shipping delays and delayed email responses. We are not going to make any excuses for our failure to meet our shipping deadlines. The truth of it is that we did not factor in the difficulty and time it requires at this point of time where there are still logistics issues after the world's borders were shut for 2 years. Although we have successfully delivered all our rewards for two of our previous campaigns on the deadline, we were unprepared for the complications involved in shipping power banks to different parts of the world where taxes, laws and regulations are different and extremely tricky for importing Lithium Batteries Products.

The Futurizta team will reflect on our mistakes from this campaign and learn from them. We have hired additional support members to reduce our wait time and efficiency in replying support emails so all our backers will always be well informed and assisted in all matters. 

We thank every one of you for your amazing support and patience throughout and after the campaign, especially those who provided support when our team members were diagnosed with COVID-19. We are so glad to have you all as our backers and we cannot thank you enough for your patience, support and understanding. Pixy Go Shipping Update + Reflection

First of all, we would like to apologize for the lack of response for the past 5 days. Unfortunately, one of our team members have passed away and all of our team members have been busy helping the family with the funeral. We understand that it's frustrating that your recent enquiries aren't being replied to but hope that you can understand it has been a difficult past few days for us as well. Most of our team members are back to work and all enquiries will be attended to as soon as possible.

Latest Shipping Update

We have shipped nearly 95% of our December Pixy Mini rewards with the remaining 5% being remote countries or countries with strict lithium-batteries restrictions in which we are still trying to find a shipping solution. (We will notify you and provide a refund option if we aren't able to find any solutions,)

As promised, our logistics partner have begun the process of shipping your Pixy Go orders and we have already shipped 50% of Pixy Go's reward. For EU backers who have received their tracking number, please note that due to the nature of the shipping line, the tracking information will only be updated when it arrives at your destination country. We will use DHL Germany for the last mile delivery. (EU) 

We understand that some of our backers have not yet received their tracking numbers and we would like to provide a clear and transparent explanation for that. According to our logistics partner, an error in the system misplaced a large bulk of our Pixy Go units which led to them not being able to complete our Pixy Go shipments to approximately 500 backers.

We are happy to say that they have successfully recovered all missing units and will begin shipping them out to you across these two weeks. Again, we apologize for the delay and want to assure you that we are doing whatever we can from our end to ensure that your rewards are delivered to you as soon as possible.

Important Note for Pixy Go Backers

Some backers will not receive their Pixy Go shipment as there are cases of backers that have backed Pixy Mini and Pixy Go but filled the survey wrongly which meant your shipping fees aren't fully paid for yet. (Backers who selected the option "Only backer Pixy Mini, Ship it in December", but added Pixy Go during the add-on section"). We have compiled a list of Backerkit IDs for you to cross-check with.  We have removed any sensitive information and only retained the Backer's Backerkit IDs so you do not have to worry about any privacy issues. If your Backerkit ID is on the list, please follow the instruction in the excel to settle the difference as soon as possible so we may ship your rewards to you. (Please use your PC/laptop to access the excel sheet)

Reflection

We understand that things may not have been smooth as we expected it to be for this campaign with shipping delays which have caused inconvenience and frustrations for many of our backers. As you can witness from our last 2 successful campaigns, we have always embraced the idea to "under promise and over deliver" however we felt that we have done the opposite for this campaign. After all the rewards have been sent out, our team are going to reflect on our decisions, performance and mistakes in the last few months and promise to "under-promise and over-deliver" on our next campaign.

We have completed full production of our Pixy Go as of 20th January and concluded all quality control tests to ensure all Pixy Go's are up to our high-quality standards.

Shipping Update For Pixy Go

We have had successfully finished Pixy Go's production on schedule as estimated however we regret to inform you that due to the Lunar New Year holidays, all logistic workers are on leave and facilities have shut down on the 25th of January. This means we are unable to deliver your orders in time at the end of January.

We want to apologize for this delay and want to assure you that all our shipments are currently queued up at the logistics facility which will be processed first thing as soon as all logistics operations re-open on 7th February. You can expect to receive your tracking number shortly after 7th February.

Pixy Go's Production ⚙️

As mentioned in our previous updates, after completing the production of Pixy Mini in December 2021, we have begun the production of Pixy GO and is estimated to complete production on 20th Jan 2022. Pixy Go backers will receive their tracking number when we dispatch their order at the end of January so stay tuned!

Shipping Reminder + Update ✈️

We have seen many backers continuously asking for shipping updates on their Pixy Go or Zeus-X Pro cables. We want to remind everyone that Pixy Go is currently in production stage and will be shipped at the end of January. If you have opted to deliver your Pixy Mini in December then ship Pixy Go in January, please kindly stay tuned for the tracking number which we estimate will be emailed to you at the end of Jan 2022.

US & UK Shipping Updates

Good news for our US and UK backers as we are estimating almost 80% of first batch orders will be delivered before or by Christmas if everything goes smoothly! Please note that if your shipping address is located in remote areas, it takes a little longer to be delivered so it might not be delivered by Christmas.

EU Shipping Updates

As mentioned in our previous update, due to Omicron variant breakouts in Europe, new restrictions and regulations have delayed our shipment which unfortunately means we are unlikely to deliver by Christmas. Rest assured that our team are still making sure that your rewards get to you as soon as possible.

Our first batch of European shipments has arrived and is currently under custom clearance. We will proceed to ship your order as soon as possible when the stock arrives in our EU warehouse. The tracking numbers will be sent to your email once we dispatch your order. We are estimating to deliver your order around the end of December. 

AU Shipping Updates

Our first batch of Pixy Minis has arrived on 16th December 2021 and just cleared customs today on 20th December 2021. It will take 1-2 days to arrive in our warehouse and another 2 more days for sorting. At this point of time, we will most likely won't be able to deliver your rewards by Christmas day as offices, warehouse and logistics services will be closed on 25th December. We truly apologize for this but trust us Pixy Mini will be worth the wait! (We are still working closely with our shipping agent to deliver it as soon as we can ). We will send out the tracking number to your email immediately once we dispatch your order. 

Global Shipping Updates

Some backers from China, Hong Kong, Singapore and Malaysia have already received their Pixy Mini and if you haven't received yours, please do not worry as it is currently on the way to you! For backers in other countries, you should receive a tracking number later this week.

Please note that if you filled the survey before the 2nd of December, you will be included in the first batch of shipments. If you filled the survey after the 2nd of December, please do expect some delays to your delivery. ( Estimated Jan 2022 for 2nd and 3rd batch )


Pixy Mini Charging Time Update

Initially, when testing our prototype samples during Research & Development stage, we noted that the time taken to charge our Pixy Mini prototype samples are 1.5 hours on average. As such, we have advertised in our campaign that it only takes 1.5hours to fully charge Pixy Mini ( with the appropriate cable ).

However, we failed to take into account that the prototype samples we were using contain older batteries that have degraded having been through numerous tests for more than a year. We were only aware of the new charging time when performing quality control tests after the full-scale manufacturing of Pixy Mini with brand new battery cells. We wanted to be transparent to all our backers and sincerely apologize for this change.

The new charging time will fluctuate between 1 hour 45 minutes to 2 hours depending on the temperature of the environment. Fast charging any device will heat up any battery regardless and this is the same for Pixy Mini. If it is placed in a high-temperature environment, the NTC will trigger the protection algorithm and reduce the charging wattage to 10W when the internal temperature reaches 45 degrees, it will then resume to 18W when the temperature drops below the threshold. This mechanism will extend and protect the battery’s lifespan which means you can continue to use Pixy Mini extensively for years.

We could hit the 1 hour 30 minutes charging time if we set the threshold to 60 degrees, which will allow Pixy Mini to charge at the fastest charging speed all the time. However, constantly exposing the battery to high temperature will speed up the ageing process and it will also degrade faster as the chemical inside react faster at a hotter temperature. Due to Pixy Mini’s tiny form factor, there are not much material or space for it to dissipate the heat and thus we conservatively decided to add a smart charging mechanism that alternates its charging speed based on the temperature.
